She was predeceased by: her parents, Dannie Chavis and Cassie Chavis; her siblings, Danny "Cha", Villie Chavis, Lorainne, Annie Lee Chavis, Louvenia "Tickin" Ledwell, Louise "Shine" Chavis, Ella Mae Davis, Rosetta "Dot" Garrett and Mary Magdalene "Boot" Lowry; her sons, Angelo, Villie "Wee Wee" and Melton Lowry; her great grandchildren, Korbon and Kash Locklear; and the father of her children Charlie Lowry.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Lowry of Lumberton, NC, Sandrah Lowry of Jacksonville, NC, Cynthia Lowry Chavis (Mark) of Lumberton, NC and Angela Flores (Hector) of Rocky Mount, NC; her siblings, Hudell Chavis (Jean), Michael Chavis of Pembroke, NC, Melba Harris, Patricia "Tish" Chavis of Maxton, NC, Barbara "Bob" Strickland (WJ) and Judy Gorman (Ed); and her grandchildren, Angelo, Tonya, Asa, Deaton "Tate", Carlos, James "Elliott", Charly, Veronica, Daniel, Toni, Matthew, Carla, Kyal, Sherry, Krisanthony, Nikolas, DeAngelo and Zackary. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethel Hill Baptist Church (2660 Shannon Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at the Oxendine Cemetery Chapel Community Oak Grove Church.
