With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Rose Allen Kinlaw (Lumberton, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 27, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Allen and Nettie Smith Allen; her siblings, Gertie Lee Allen Sides, Dorothy Mae Allen Townsend, Alvin, Hubert and Robert; her husband Jerome Kinlaw; and her son Gerald Lyn Kinlaw.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory J. Kinlaw (Jan) of Raleigh and Dennis C. Kinlaw (Carla) of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Taylor Kinlaw Boyette (David II) of Wendell, Allison Kinlaw Lamb (Chaz) of Lumberton, Lauren Kinlaw Briley (Hampton) of Raleigh and Katie Kinlaw of Lumberton; her great grandchildren, David W. Boyette III, Grayson Alexander Boyette and McKinley Rae Haywood; and her niece Patricia Townsend Willoughby. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Baptist Building Fund (5089 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, NC 28358).
