It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tressa Lee Carter of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Tressa Lee has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Carter and John Henry Carter; her brother John Lynn Carter; and her grandparents, Rev. Luther and Helen Locklear.
She is survived by: her children, LaQuan Montre Carter and Ty'Asia Hope Carter; her siblings, Tamantha Locklear of Kentucky, Tanya Tyndall of Dillon, SC and Otis Tyndall of Lumberton, NC; and her aunt Wanda Locklear Gilchrist. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Inc. (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Chapel (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358).
