She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Edward Powell, Sr.; her sons, Dana James Powell and Charles Powell, Jr.; and her brother Gary A. Chappell. She is survived by: her granddaughter Jessica "Nikki" Parker (Shaun); her daughter Cheryl Jenean Mousseau; and her siblings, Jasper "J. R." Chappell and Carol Towes. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
