With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sara Williams of Lumberton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sara left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Warwick and Alice Anne Warwick (Curtis); her husband Erwin T. Williams, Jr.; her siblings, Hardy, Jr., Joseph Ira, Elbert, Alice Ruth Hall and Hazel W. Smith; her stepson-in-law Mark Eldridge; her nephews, Sonny Hall, John Hardy Hall, Dannie Walters and Luke Walters; and her niece Ann Hall Muhler.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Susan Williams Eldridge and Erwin Williams III (Mary); her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Eldridge, James Eldridge (Allee), Erwin Williams IV (Abbey), Mitchell Eldridge (Erin) and Andrew Williams; her great grandchild Mark Eldridge; her nieces, Delores Wells (Jack), Margo Foster (John), Karen Meredith and Nan Dolphens; her cousin Mary Clark Deters; and her close friends, B. G., Nancy French, Rev. Sam and Mary Warner.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Meadowbrook Cemetery (400 W 24th St, Lumberton, NC 28358).
