He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lowery; his children, Lora Dunn (Fred) and Sam Lowery, Jr. (Geavona); his sisters, Bessie Carter and Barbara Johnson; and his grandchildren, Josh Oxendine and Latasha Oxendine. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
