With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca S. Moody of Lumberton, North Carolina, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rebecca may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phyllis Moody, and Thomas Buck Moody, Sr.; and her brother Thomas Buck Moody, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda Dawn Moody and Erica Lee Sweat; her grandchildren, Abigail Grace Hardin, Gabrielle Nicole Hardin and Thomas Oliver Tweedell; her son-in-law Zack Tweedell; her sister-in-law Jennifer Watts Moody; her niece Leslie Christina Moody; and her close friends, Gail West and Mary Denniston.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Inc. (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358).
