It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myrtle Jones of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Phil Lowry and Julie Lowry; her husband Rev. Reo Jones; her children, Linda Hunt, Wilford Jones and Rev. Charles Jones; and her siblings, Carmel Lowry and Inez Brewington.
She is survived by: her daughters, Letha M. Hunt of Lumberton, Betty J. Hunt (James T. Hunt) of Lumberton and Carolyn Lambert (Bobby Lambert) of Lumberton; and her close friend Margaret Deese. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, eleven great, great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Revels Funeral Home (3575 N Roberts Ave, Lumberton, NC 28360). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Lumbee Memorial Gardens (774 Moss Neck Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
