Lawrence Milton Evans Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence Milton Evans of Lumberton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Franklin Evans and Eva Mae Johnson Evans; and his siblings, Elton Evans, Jim Evans, Pat Nance and Loyce Sanderson.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Evans; his children, Carla Franklin (John) of Lumberton, Traci Totherow (Greg) of Raleigh, Sheila Davis (Timmy Ray), Keith Britt (Melody) of Lumberton and Jason Britt (Jody) of Lexington, SC; his brother Richard "Dicky" Evans (Joy) of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Tyler Franklin (Meagan), Trevor Franklin (Claudia), Lily Totherow, Brittany Britt (Sam), Bridgette Nunziante (Derrick), Madison Jackson (Wiley), Josh Britt, Jacob Britt, Allie Britt and Jonah Britt; and his great grandchildren, Maddox, Sawyer, Cash Britt, Jette and Delilah Nunziante. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (5089 Old Whiteville Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at the Faith Cemetery (5190 Fayetteville Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
