He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Taylor and Elizabeth Walters; and his great grandchild Augustine Sampson. He is survived by: his daughters, Joye Locklear (Hartman) of Sumter, S. C. and Elizabeth Shockley of Lumberton; his close friend Alan Taylor; and the mother of his children Renee Sanchez. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
