With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Sampson of Lumberton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 19, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Joseph farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joseph is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Dial and Joe Sampson; his brothers, Larry Sampson and Earis Sampson; and his son-in-law Craig Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Sampson; his daughters, Kimberly Jo Sampson and Karrie Beth Locklear of Prospect; his grandchildren, Chloe Bethany Locklear and Chase Brady Locklear; and his siblings, Mary Lois Clark and Gary Sampson of Lumberton. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Deep Branch Baptist Church Cemetery (4082 Deep Branch Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
