He was predeceased by: his daughter Janice Sheree Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son John Archie Thomas, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Eric Baltazar, Alex Baltazar and Selena Baltazar.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (1019 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384).
