He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Barnes and Christine Connor Barnes; his daughter Stefanie Dawn Barnes; and his brother John Malcom Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Ann Rowland Barnes; his son David Barnes (Claudia) of Lumberton; his sister Phyllis Barnes Williams (Kenny) of Lumberton; his nephew Joseph Williams; his great-nephew Evan of Lumberton; his great-niece Josie Williams of Lumberton; his niece Jamie Williams Chappell (Quinton) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Leah Hathaway and Tyler Stone.
