It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dock Lee Hunt II (Lumberton, North Carolina), who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Roger Ray, Aggie Nora Hunt and Catherine Chance; his sister Deanna Nicole Hunt; his uncle Reginald "Reggie" Hunt; and his aunt Stephanie Chance.
He is survived by: his parents, Dock Lee Hunt of Lumberton and Felicia Chance Morton (Michael) of Fayetteville; his sons, Michael Hunt of Lumberton, Tristin Oliver Hunt of Lumberton and Austin Lee Hunt (Anna Franco); his siblings, Matthew "MJ" Hunt of Charlotte and Cassaundra Sampson (Kevin) of Lumberton; and his close friends, Bobby Cherry and Denver Adair Callahan.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Boles-Biggs Funeral Home (801 N Chestnut St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Boles-Biggs Funeral Home Chapel (801 N Chestnut St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Lumbee Memorial Gardens (774 Moss Neck Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
