She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Mills and Anna Stotler Mills; her siblings, Delois Cunningham, Evelyn Mathena, Doug Mills, Frederick Mills and Richard Mills; and her grandson Stephan Ruppel.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas "Tom" Myers; her children, Edell Oxendine Jr. of Baltimore, Wanda Locklear of Lumberton and Dawn Minor (Brandon) of Lumberton; her sisters, Christine "Debbie" Tolodziecki of Baltimore and Patricia Mills of Lumberton; her close friends, Sherry Hitchens, Flora Minor, Joyce and Paula; and her grandchildren, Austin Locklear, Joshua Ruppel (Takarsha), Gabrella Oxendine, Lillan Guerrero and Damion Ballard. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
