She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Suggs and Mary Estelle Parker Suggs; her brothers, Johnny, David and George; and her nephew Philip McKenzie.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floyd Memory Gardens (3720 Old Whiteville Rd, Lumberton, NC 28358).
