Channing Yates Floyd Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Channing Yates Floyd Sr. of Lumberton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Floyd and Viola Yates Floyd; and his siblings, Jimmy Mack Floyd, Randy Floyd and Carolyn Floyd Allen.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Polly Floyd; his sons, Channing Floyd, Jr. (Jason Fields) of St. Petersburg, Shanning Floyd of Lumberton and David Shane Floyd (Emily); his granddaughter Anna Rae Huff Floyd of Wilmington, NC; and his siblings, French Floyd and Kathy Lamb (J. W.). He is also survived by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Inc. (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Floyd Memorial Chapel (809 E 5th St, Lumberton, NC 28358). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the McLean Family Cemetery.
