With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ann Gales of Lumberton, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marvin May of Lumberton and Lizzie Watson May of Lumberton; her husband Hilton Gales; and her siblings, J. T. May, Buddy May and Judy Kale.
She is survived by: her children, John Hilton Gales of Lumberton, NC, Melinda Gales Hedgpeth (Robert) of Lumberton, NC and Jennifer "Ginger" Gales Lewis (Craig) of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren, Thad Hedgpeth (Talara) of Greenfield, NY, Brooke Keit (Weston) of Winston-Salem, NC, Bryant Lewis and Ann-Bradley Lewis; her great grandchildren, Leila, Johnsie-Parker, Teddy Hedgpeth, Libby and Lucy Keit; and her siblings, Earl May, Roy May, Jerry May, Elizabeth Shaw and Frances Frank. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
