It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Ray Brayboy of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina, born in Red Springs, North Carolina, who passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Constance Brayboy; his son Timothy Brayboy; his parents, Hugh Brayboy and Lucy Brayboy; and his siblings, Herman Brayboy, Hugh Brayboy Jr., Prentice Brayboy, Carol Brayboy Emanuel, Agnes Brayboy, Thomas Brayboy and Bronston Brayboy.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Leonardi (Salvatore) and Joseph Brayboy (Cindy); his grandchildren, Christina Torres, Giovanni Leonardi (Amanda), Salvatore Leonardi Jr. (Angela), Joseph Carson, Antonio Leonardi (Devon), Matthew Brayboy (Holly), Anna Norris, Ashley Meders (Jamie) and Christopher Day (Dani); his sister Darcos Lowry (James Kinlaw); and his sisters-in-law, Holly Brayboy and Rita Brayboy. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
