He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gray and Ilar Hayes Gray; and his siblings, F. D. Gray, Charlie Gray and Cora Mack Midway.
He is survived by: his son James Anthony Gray (Nora Jean); and his siblings, Johnnie Gray of Lumber Bridge, NC, Jack Gray of St. Pauls, NC, J. W. Gray of St. Pauls, NC, J. D. Gray of Walkertown, NC, Pauline Davis of Parkton, NC and Marie Caulder of St. Pauls, NC.. He is also survived by three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in James' honor be made to the charity or organization of your choice toward the advancement of cancer research or to Amedisys Hospice, 53 Three Hunts Drive, Pembroke, NC 28372.
