He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Y. Wilkinson and Lois Jean Beutler Wilkinson; and his brother Ernest Y. Wilkinson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Fields Wilkinson; his sons, Graham "Tate" Tatum Wilkinson, Dustin "Buzz" William Wilkinson (Sydney) and Jason Cadwell Wilkinson (Allison); his grandchildren, Sam Wilkinson, J. C. Wilkinson and Beutler Wilkinson; his aunt Mary Lou Coyle; his nephew Jamey Wilkinson; his mother-in-law L. G. Fields; his siblings-in-law, Kelly Williams, Janet Wilkinson and Scott Williams; and his close friend Kaleigh May.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bryant T Aldridge Rehabilitation Center through Nash UNC Hospital Foundation-Rehabilitation Services Fund in Rocky Mount or the Kenly Scout Troop 29 or The Kenly Fire Department.
