It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Lamm Raper of Lucama, North Carolina, who passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Herman Carlton Raper; her son Doug Raper; her parents, Allison Lamm and Minnie Lamm; and her siblings, Walter Lamm, Marjorie Pittman and Elizabeth Pittman.
She is survived by: her daughter Gloria Raper Lucas (Jeff) of Kenly; her daughter-in-law Bobbi Ann Raper of Wilson; her grandchildren, Robert Lucas (Tammy), Billy Joe Lucas (Tasha), Randy Lucas, Spencer Manning (Amanda), Bobby Manning (Lori) and Nickie Warrick (Jay); and her siblings, Billy Lamm (Jane) of Rocky Mount and Hazel Jackson of St. Augustine, Florida.. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
