It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MacKaleen Deans Butts (Lucama, North Carolina), born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on May 27, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Reason and Nellie Ford Reason Taylor; her husbands, Bill Deans and Earl Butts; and her siblings, William Ford, Cleveland Ford, Bruce Ford, Carson Ford, Bobby Ray Ford, J. D. Reason, Betty Gay, Mamie Lee Butts and Fannie Mae Reason.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Deans Cone and Billy Ray Deans; her son-in-law Richard Duvall of Florida; her sisters, Marie Finn of Wilson and Judy Herman of Smithfield; and her close friend Boo-Boo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
