He was predeceased by: his father Gregory Earlin Cummings. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Joy Thorne Cummings; his children, Somer Cummings of Elm City and Nicholas Cummings of Elm City; his mother Deborah Taylor Newcomb (Tim); his brother Travis Cummings (Brookie) of Lucama; his grandmother Janet Taylor of Lucama; and his stepsisters, Jessica Newcomb, Heather Davis, Kim Williams and Charlotte Newcomb.

Memorials are suggested to Harbor Light Holiness Church, 4029 NC Hwy 42 E, Wilson NC 27893.
