With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gwendolyn Perry Beaman of Lucama, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin Dow Beaman; her siblings, William Forrest Perry, Jr., Gilda Gray Shearin, Tommy Perry and Jerry Perry; and her parents, William Forrest and Nannie Beatrice Morgan Perry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vanessa Beaman Price of Wilson and Phyllis James Carpenter of Lucama; her grandchildren, Justin Dow Price of Florida, Allison Vanessa Price of Raleigh, Jonathan Morgan Price of Asheville, Matthew James Turner of Bethel and Rebekkah Denise Carpenter of Lucama; and her siblings, Marlean Glover of Bailey, Linda Thomasson of South Carolina and Hal Perry of Raleigh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
