He is survived by: his wife Faye Boswell Ballance; his children, Amanda Daughtridge (Odis) of Wilson, Tammy Whitley (Graham) of Kenly and Mark Ballance (Kaye) of Buckhorn; his sister Vickie Ellis of Lucama; his caregivers, Meagann Spivey and Brittany Jones; and his granddaughter Emily. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
