She was predeceased by: her parents, Maynard Phillips and Louise Phillips; her sister Mary F. Phillips; and her brothers-in-law, Daniel D. Scales and Lloyd P. Gray.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence L. Haeflinger; her children, Donna L. Woodward, Howard Kostelecky, Jr. (Susan) of Kenly and Daniel L. Kostelecky, Sr.; her sisters, Clara Mae Scales of LaPorte and Carol Ann Gray of Cornith, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Nathan L., Noah D, Naomi F. Woodward, Phillip J. Kostelecky, Daniel L. Kostelecky, Jr. and Katie L. Kostelecky; and her great grandchildren, Avery S. Woodward and Braylen J. Woodward.
After her almost failed surgery and brush with death in 2009 Della always wore an Angel Pin on her shoulder and became a long-time supporter of the cancer support group charity "Pennies from Angels".
