She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Lafayette Barnes and Mary Rachel West Barnes. She is survived by: her husband Don R. Godwin; her children, Donna Johnson (Jeff) of Lucama and John Godwin (Rhonda) of Lucama; her grandchildren, Tyler Johnson and Emma Caroline Godwin; and her siblings, Louise Gregory of Rocky Mount and Herman Barnes, Jr. (Linda) of Lucama.
