With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilmer Paul Hawks of Lowgap, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on November 26, 2022 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wilmer Paul Hawks to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayburn Winfield and Clennie Galyean Hawks; and his siblings, Allie Hawks Burcham, Carl Hawks, James Arlen Hawks, Verlin Hawks, Manual Hawks and Price Hawks.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gillespie Hawks; his children, Debbie Koger (Donald), Tammi France (Ricky), Melissa Wyatt (Mark), Marinda Hemric, Steven Paul Hawks, Stacy Hawks (Tangie) and Preston Craig Hawks; and his close friend Ruger. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
