She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Whittington and Priscilla Ella Watson Whittington; her husband Donald Gray Shelton, Sr.; her sons, Donald Gray Shelton II and John Lemuel Shelton; and her siblings, Peggy Lou Whittington and William Douglas Whittington.
She is survived by: her children, Ann (Henry Thompson), Sue (Kenny Owens), Lynn (Roger Sawyers), Hope (Josh Pope) and Joel Shelton; and her brother John Allen Whittington. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
