He is survived by: his mother Shirley June Mikeal Johnston of Purlear; his sister Tonya Denise Blackburn (Shone) of North Wilkesboro; his nieces and nephews, Josh Shaw, Amber Tyler and Corban Vestal; and his great-nephews, Ayden and Maxx Tyler.
