She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilbert and Stella Payne Venable; her son James Edward Marion; and her sister Gail Venable Boyer. She is survived by: her husband Homer Lee Marion; her children, Tracy Marion and Jeff; her daughter-in-law Keel Godwin; her grandson Jonah Godwin; her sister Sandra; her brother-in-law Danny Sutphin; and her niece Shana Renegar.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (278 Piney Grove Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
