He was predeceased by: his father Jimmie Sawyers; and his siblings, Irene White, Haywood and Herbert Sawyers. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Coalson Sawyers; his children, Steven "Pnutt" Sawyers (Melissa), Corey Sawyers and Candie Lawson; his grandchildren, Logan Sawyers, Courtney Henley (Jake), Joshua Berrier (Jordan), Jacob Sawyers and Marleigh Sawyers; his great grandchildren, Weston Berrier and Cayson Berrier; his brother David Sawyers (Cookie); and his close friend Timmy Bingham.
