He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Cooper and Selma Blanton Cooper; his son Alan Cooper; and his sisters, Diane Brooks and Blondie Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Keaton Cooper; his son Greg Cooper (Sharon); his daughter-in-law Kathy Cooper; and his sister Patsy Ball. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
