He was predeceased by: his parents, Voneata Adcock Holmes and Charles Edwin Holmes of Lowell, N. C.; his wife Nancy Williams; and his nephew Wade Holmes. He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Matheny (Johnny) and Leslie Holmes; his grandson Benjamin; his brother Robert Holmes (Geri); his nieces, Amy Jones (Steve) and Donna Smith (Kerry); and his cousins, David Glen (Debbie) and Mike Adcock. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
