He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Messick and Zella Burris Messick Fowler; and his siblings, Kenneth Messick, Bob Messick, Norman Messick, Joyce Davis, Irene Parnell and Connie Perry.
He is survived by: his sons, Rodney Messick (Nicole) and Chris Messick (Becky); his grandchildren, Chase (Kyndra), Bo (Raygan), Bailey, Josh (Brooklyn), Justin and Keri (Chris); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Colton, Mason, Parker, Levi and Braylon; and his close friend Evelyn Clary. He is also survived by her family; numerous nieces and nephews.
