She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Henry Gay, Sr. and Peggy Scarboro Gay; her grandparents, Wallace, Ruby Scarboro, William Ivan Sr. and Stancy Gay; and her brother-in-law Ralph DeFino "Cricket".
She is survived by: her siblings, Gail Gay (Doug Batchelor) of Wendell, Savon Lynn (Marc) of Washington, NC, Mary Gay DeFino of Zebulon and Willard Henry "Will" Gay, Jr. (Neide) of Cary; her cousin Donna Horton of Wendell; and her uncle Reverend William Ivan Gay, Jr. (Ann).
