He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Douglas Wilson and Mary Ann Tant Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Ann Pernell Wilson; his son Shelton Ray Rowan of Pennsylvania; his stepson Duane Pernell of Schloss; his granddaughter Alana; his siblings, Mary "Buttons" Herrera (Jose) of Coats, Joe Wilson (Patricia) of Henderson, Curtis Tant (Barbara) of Wake Forest and Andy Riggan (Robin) of Carolina Beach; and his stepfather Earl Riggan of Kittrell.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Murray Family Cemetery (279 Schloss Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549).
