We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Ruby Elkins of Louisburg, North Carolina, born in Marion Junction, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ruby is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ruby's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Theodore DeWitt and Bama Boggs; her husband James L. Elkins, Sr.; her son James L. Elkins, Jr.; and her grandson Brian Elkins.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Elkins, Cheryl Strider (John) and Eddie Elkins (Joanne). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park (2301 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
