She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Holzhausen and Gertrude Holzhausen (Senkbeil); her brother Glenn; her sister-in-law Verna; her sisters, Sara Geisler (Frank) and Delores Johnson (Stewart); and her son Michael (Linda).
She is survived by: her husband Robert Schmidt; her children, Christopher Schmidt (Edna Jo), Lisa Hansens and Kimberly Roark; her grandchildren, Ethan Schmidt, Camren Socava, Emily Schmidt, Kellyn Geisler, Kimber LaBounty, Kayla Allen, Donovan Hansens, Gage Roark, Conrad Roark and Faith Roark; her great grandchildren, Abel Geisler, Kalina LaBounty, Lillian Allen and Sammy Allen; her sister Sue Glaeser (Robert); and her sister-in-law Marlene Holzhausen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial has been established in her name at the Franklin County Animal Shelter Louisburg, NC.
