She was predeceased by: her parents, Kennett Sparks and Mary Louise Huff Harmon. She is survived by: her husband Leonard Sherrill Gay; her children, Jacki Bullock (Dennis) and Brian Gay (Beth); and her grandson Trenton Gay.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the American Lung Association or a charity of choice.
