She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Gupton and Glennie Davis Gupton; her husband Ernest Holland Denton; her siblings, Nobia Bottoms, Frances Champion, James Gupton and Junior Gupton; and her grandson Billy Denton.
She is survived by: her sons, Wesley Denton (Rhonda), Dexter Denton (Jamie) and Ed Denton (Beth); her grandchildren, Wes Denton (Wendy), Kristi Walker (Doug) and David Denton (Kandi); and her brother Bobby Gupton. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
