He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Kinchen Tant and Lizzie Tant; and his siblings, James Tant, Randolph Tant, Magalen Tant Lewis, Pennie Tant King and John Davis Tant.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Barham Tant; his sons, Bruce Tant (Karen) and Matthew Tant (Debbie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth McLamb (Zack), Rachel Tant (Derek), Sam Tant (Katie), Luke Tant, Mark Tant and Autumn Watkins; and his siblings, Earl Tant, Billy Tant, Clyde Tant and Marie Tant Ray. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of J.B., the family asks that contributions be made to the Rocky Cross Holiness Church building fund.
