She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Smiley and Lillian Gibson Smiley; her husband Richard Laverne Griffin; her brothers, Theodore "Ted" Smiley, Arthur Smiley and B. P. Smiley; and her niece Melissa Samuels.
She is survived by: her goddaughters, Natalie Smiley and Tonya Smith; her sisters-in-law, Donna Smiley, Lucie Buchanan, Myrtle Smiley and Shirley Walker; her nieces and nephews, William Smiley, Bobby Smiley, Teresa Horkey, Anthony Kent Griffin, Andy Griffin, Randy Griffin and Chris Turner; and her close friends, Shirley Dupree, Bobbie Murphy and Sabrina Johnson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Centerville Baptist Church or the Franklin County Animal Shelter.
