He was predeceased by: his father Otha Vann; his wife Ann Nevils Gilliam; and his sister Mae Vann G. Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Jama; his son-in-law Jeremy Stallings; and his grandchildren, Josie and Joshua Stallings.
