He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ramsey and Juanita Miller Ramsey; his son James Brandon Ramsey; and his siblings, Gene Miller and Lloyd Ramsey.

He is survived by: his wife Hope Danielle Shearon Ramsey; his children, Josh Ramsey and Charlotte; his son-in-law Travis Kelly; his grandchildren, Sharon, James and Hailey; and his niece Melissa Pittman.
