He is survived by: his wife Melody Rose Hughes Sledge; his children, Amy Jones of Clayton, Deric Privette (Lacy) of West Va, Dustin Privette and Christian Sledge; his siblings, Marie Williams (Ronnie) of Zebulon, Deborah Carlyle (Randy) of Zebulon and Dannie Sledge (Barbara) of Louisburg; and his grandson Blake Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
