He was predeceased by: his parents, William Waties and Estelle Underwood Capps; his siblings, Billy Capps, George Capps, Joe Capps, Junior Capps, Charles Capps, Robert Capps and Joyce Marie; and his brother-in-law Tex Medlin.
He is survived by: his son Chris Capps (Amy); and his sister Mary Medlin.
The family requests donations be made to the SECU Hospice House of Johnston Health, located at 426 Hospital Rd., Smithfield, NC 27557.
