He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Hicks and Marie Elizabeth Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Alice Hicks; his daughter Renee Hicks; and his sisters, Anna Marie Kearney (Marvin), Linda Hurt (Donald) and Eleanor "Dinky" Bailey (Gary). He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
