Arnola Carpenter Gilliam Obituary

Mrs. Arnola Carpenter Gilliam, 77, of Louisburg passed away on Saturday, February 08, 2025. She was born on April 20, 1947, to the late Arnold Preston and Elnora Sparks Carpenter in Franklin County, North Carolina.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonya E. Watson (Brian), her two sons, Michael Gilliam (Tammy) and Mark Gilliam; grandchildren, Victoria, Christopher, Erin and Emily; her sister, Mindy Vick and family; her brother, Preston Carpenter and family; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arnola was a compassionate caretaker. She had a true servant's heart and would always put others first. She loved spending time with her family and loved animals. Arnola loved taking trips with the girls and trips to the beach. She retired from the House of Lights as the Accounting Manager after many years of service. She loved baking pies and desserts making sure everyone had their favorite and listening to Tom Jones.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Saturday, February 15, from 11:00am to 11:30 am at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30am at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Family will also be receiving visitors following the service.
